How can we find out if a company is registered in UAE?
I know someone who is having some problems with their new employer. The salary and benefits on the contract she signed back in her home country is not the same once she arrived in UAE.
Salary is now aed 1000 less than agreed on and she pays accommodation. Also how can we find out if a company is registered?? Is labour law the only way to sort this out?
Download the mobile application MOHRE and go to “employees” section. Find out your contract details
The contract signed back home aren’t genuine because the agent is just wanting to pull out money from the client’s pockets. The funniest thing is that the agent knows the exact salary that the company is paying but they still go ahead and forge papers showing a different salary.
Well since we arrived 23 years ago we always been told your contract isn’t worth a thing here as it can change at any time for any reason. Nothing here ever changes. Probably have to approach the company manager with the signed contract and see what can be done. But unless there’s a copy signed by the company not much leg to stand on except get it sorted via labor court if it can’t be sorted but that’s only a last option because unless the probation period is completed you can still be dismissed without cause.
